Jurisdictions

The following reflects our current operational activity. It is illustrative only and does not represent an exhaustive list of jurisdictions in which we can assist.

Jurisdiction selection for any particular structure is primarily a matter for legal and tax advisers. We may, where appropriate, provide input based on governance, regulatory, and operational considerations, but do not provide legal or tax advice.

Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands is a core jurisdiction for our trust, fiduciary, and fund governance services. It is an established and well-regulated international financial centre with a mature trust law framework and a recognised legal system based on English common law.

Forbes Hare Trust Company Limited is regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands is our primary jurisdiction for corporate and SPV services. It is a widely used offshore corporate jurisdiction with a well-established corporate law framework based on the BVI Business Companies Act.

FH Corporate Services Ltd (trading as Forbes Hare Corporate Services) is regulated and licensed by the BVI Financial Services Commission as a corporate services provider.

New Zealand

We provide trust and fiduciary services through Forbes Hare Trust Company (New Zealand) Limited. Our New Zealand capability includes both foreign trusts and domestic trust structures.

Nevis

We provide trustee services for Nevis trust structures, including Nevis International Exempt Trusts, purpose trusts, and reserved power trusts. Nevis offers a flexible trust law framework used in connection with certain international wealth structures, together with corporate and LLC legislation suited to particular applications.

Other Jurisdictions

Enquiries regarding structures or services outside the jurisdictions listed above are welcome. We do not limit our engagement to the jurisdictions described on this page, and we regularly administer structures including entities or relationships governed by the laws of other jurisdictions.
